Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Here you will find a collection of some of my favorite recipes.  I started this blog in November of 2009 because I wanted a fun project to work on in my spare time.  I enjoy spending time in my kitchen trying out new recipes as well as making old favorites.   Eric (my husband) and I frequently cook dinner together.  One of our favorite ways to spend an evening at home is to have a glass of wine and cook a nice dinner together.

I like to make a variety of different foods, and my recipes range from simple and easy (like pizza or chocolate chip cookies) to time consuming and complicated (such as croissants or sugar cookies).  I try to cook healthy dinners whenever possible, but I love pasta, carbs, and dessert too.  Speaking of dessert, I love to bake!  Some of my favorite things to bake are cupcakes & cakes, breads, sugar cookies, and pastries.  There are so many new recipes I want to try, and I can’t wait to share them with you!

And here is a little background information about me — I was born and raised in CA, and have spent most of my life in Northern CA.  I graduated from college in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  Besides cooking, baking, and blogging, I enjoy running, learning how to play golf, spending time with my husband, family & friends, trying new restaurants, wine tasting, traveling, photography, decorating, and reading (novels, cookbooks and magazines).

Where do my recipes come from?

I am always on the lookout for new recipes, and I find them in so many different places.  I find most of my new recipes from the cooking magazines I subscribe to (my favorites are Cook’s Illustrated & Fine Cooking), my collection of cookbooks, the Food Network Channel on TV, recommendations from family & friends, cooking websites, and cooking blogs.

I love hearing from my readers.  If you like what you see, please leave me a comment!  (Better yet, subscribe to my blog.  You can subscribe to my RSS feed or via email.  You can also email me at  Thank you! :)
